CBUA Email Dec 28 2010

Tentative Agenda, Hotel Deadline, NCAA Registration and more!

2011 Bulletin #4 . . . This is a mass email to all CBUA members . . .

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in Chicago for our annual NCAA Clinic and CBUA Meeting.  As you may recall, last year for the first time in the 20-year history of the NCAA Umpire Improvement Program, the NCAA did not host a meeting in the midwest and, because of that fact and the tough economic times, we were a little more lenient about mandating attendance.  As most of you know, that was the exception to the rule for CBUA members, as we have always expected our umpires to attend an annual NCAA Clinic, CBUA Meeting, complete the online NCAA rules test, etc.  And yes, we do look at all of those factors when evaluating umpires for opportunities within our organization.

So that you can get the most out of your time in Chicago, please see the tentative agenda that follows.  I've annotated the agenda somewhat to help each of you understand the various sessions being planned so that you can decide what to attend, etc.

This is just a reminder that online registration for the 2011 NCAA Baseball Umpire Clinics is still available at:

https://www.planningpoint.net/V2/Registrations/index.cfm?EventID=1499.
